Ode to Spring

Friday, April 2, 2010

Oh, to sit under a bright blue sky,

And watch the specks of pollen float on by.
Oh, to know heads are resting in there,
While my feet take a break on this chair.

Oh, to savor a peanut butter egg,
Without a begger hanging on my leg.
Oh, the delicious guilt-free pleasure,
It is more than one can measure.

Oh, to take a little time for me,
And enjoy the buds of pink and green.
Oh, for this moment to think on things,
Thank you God, for giving us Spring.
