Mom in the Summertime

Monday, June 28, 2010

You know you are a mom in the summertime when:

(1) You’ve gotten really good at applying sunscreen to your own back.

(2) You can pack a picnic lunch in 5 minutes or less.

(3) You invite friends over for supper. They bring beer. You already have beer. At the end of the night, you look in your refrigerator and say, “What are we going to do with all this beer??”

(4) You buy popsicles at the store, twice a week. You never look in the freezer and say, “What are we going to do with all these popsicles??”

(5) You decide that a tankini is sexy enough, thank you very much.

(6) You had sandals to match your cover-up, but they are already ruined. You really don’t care.

(7) You’ve got bug spray and sunscreen in your purse, in the car, by the front door, and by the back door. But you still forget them half the time.

(8) You’ve given up on the battle against keeping those wet grass clippings out of your house.

(9) You buy Magic Bubbles and sidewalk chalk in mass quantities.

(10) You remember how much fun you had as a kid in the summer, and you decide that this is even better.
