Tally Time

Time to see if I did Tuesday's To Do. . .

Yes. I wrote Sarah a note, and while I was at it, I wrote someone else. Funny how the mind works once you get going.

Bonus: I found a good picture of the boys from June to send Sarah, so my procrastination excuse was diverted.

Can you remember the last time you sent or received quality snail mail? Tell us about it.

I'll go first. Not long ago, we got a handwritten thank you note from our niece - on lined notebook paper. It was long and chatty. It was classic, and we loved it.

Remember passing notes in school? The ones folded up with the "pull here" tab? Do kids even do that anymore?

Hmmmm . . . .

  1. I have been out of the classroom for 3 years now, but my darling 5th graders still passed those pull tab notes. It was always fun to intercept them, read them, keep them after class to discuss the grammar usage (or lack of) & make them correct it. If they were going to pass notes during their Language Arts class, they were going to use proper writing formats. That usually put an end to the note passing during my class. hehe! :)

And, yes, we received a thank you note from our 2nd grade nephew back in May --- it was precious and still hangs on our fridge today.

  2. Yes, I used to pass notes at school and last month I received a snail-mail from an Ethiopian missionary child. I rarely get snail-mail anymore.
