Tally Time - Whiter Than Snow

Tuesday's To Do . . . is done.

: Find an old hymn

I found it here.

You can hear it, here.

(1) Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
I want thee forever to live in my soul;
Break down every idol, case out every foe;
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

(2) Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies,
And help me to make a complete sacrifice;
I give up myself and whatever I know;
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

(3) Lord Jesus, for this I must humbly entreat;
I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet;
By faith, for my cleansing I see Thy blood flow;
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

(4) Lord Jesus, Thou knowest I patiently wait;
Come now, and within me a new heart create;
To those who have sought Thee, Thou never saidst No:
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Refrain:
Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow;
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

The Faith Barista Jam is about forgiveness today. I didn't think I would have anything to say about that tough subject, but then . . . this song. Isn't forgiveness at its core?

  1. Yes, forgiveness is definitely at the core of this song, at the core of the gospel. A beautiful connection. And an old song I haven't sung in quite awhile. I will sing it today...

  2. hmmm,hmmmm, oh yes, I can hear it in my ears. Today is so fitting for this hymn too as I look out my window and the snow is FALLING!There is something about that 'white as snow' washing it all away, making clean! Love it!

  5. Courtney, I love this hymn. I am going to go play this hymn tonight on the piano and sing it to the boys. And I'll be thinking of you. Thank you for this music and pictured filled jam. These pictures were gorgeous.
