Weekend Word

Friday, February 11, 2011

{Welcome to the weekend! I've chosen a word from my Bible's concordance, and am sharing a few of the related verses. I hope you will consider theses verses over the weekend, and perhaps spend time in the Word finding others. If you don't have a Bible handy, here is a great online version. Till Monday. . .}

For you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. Psalm 71:5

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared. Proverbs 3:25-26

The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. Isaiah 32:17

In him (Christ) and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Ephesians 3:12

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment. I John 4:16-17

  1. It's always nice to meet a sister in Christ. I love all of those verses...

  2. Is 32:17 has been one of my favorite verses from a young child. I think we had it on a metal rectangle on which verses and pictures used to be printed and used as a picture for standing or on the wall.
