WFMW: Grace Shoes

It is Works for Me Wednesday, and do you know what works for me?

Good preaching!

("Oops! Reverse, reverse . . . ")

I go to a Presbyterian church. There are no interjected "hallelujahs," we do not put hands up in praise, and good heavens, clapping must be kept to a minimum. But you know what? There could have been some hands-up hallelujahs in my church on Sunday. We have great ministers, and this week, Pastor Gary delivered powerful words, which are still working for me:

"Grace is God's unmerited favor. Generosity is grace with shoes on."

I mean, really. That is some good stuff! Grace with shoes on. It makes me want to lace up my sneakers, get out there, and give. It has been rattling around in my head all week, and I love it. I'm grateful for it. Just had to share it.

Did you hear something on Sunday that is still working for you? Do tell.

Hubby is in Honduras, on a mission trip with Habitat for Humanity. Please say a prayer for him, and the entire group. You can visit their blog, here. Thank you!

  2. Laughing because I grew up in a Presbyterian church. I get it. Oops had a misspelling last time.

  3. That's a good word! An awesome reminder to get outside of oneself! I love that sign by the way!
