First Top Ten

I'm jumping in on something new to me - Top Ten Tuesday at Oh Amanda. Why?

  1. I'm tired of Tuesday's To Do. It's been almost a year and I'm simply craving change.
  2. But, I still love a good list.
  3. Amanda cracks me up.
  4. I think she will crack you up, too.
  5. The people who link up are also funny or interesting or helpful. So, I think you should click over and check it out.
  6. I've been lurking for a while. Time to de-lurk.
  7. I'm working at VBS this week. It kinda takes a lot of time and definitely a lot of energy. This post is about all the blog-power I can muster today.
  8. I'm all about simplifying in the summer.
  9. For example, I've given up my weekly coupon-intense grocery shopping trip because who can do that with two active boys in tow? Not me. Those guys have a 5 coupon wall and when we hit it, forget it. This summer is about quick and frequent trips, which goes against so many of my principles but it is summer and my #1 principle this summer is: Keep it Simple. My sanity is worth more than the super savings, at least until preschool starts again.
  10. Sorry. Got off track there . . . That had nothing to do with "Why I'm Jumping in on This Top Ten Thing" other than it was on my mind, it got me to 10, and I believe that is the point! (Or as Amanda says, "If lists make you happy, a blank blog post is staring at you, and you need a little bloggy inspiration, then this is the carnival for you!")

Top Ten {Tuesday}

P.S. Happy 8th Anniversary to Hubby! I'm pretty sure that our picture is still up downtown!

Don't forget - Giveaway going on until Thursday! What is your Card Comfort Zone?

  1. I jumped onto OhAmanda in the last two months, because I also love a good list. Top Ten's are a good way for me to say how I'm feeling, and get my thoughts straightened out. I didn't even realize that's what it was doing for me until I posted today's top ten and when I finally stood up after posting it, I realized how much better I felt having typed it. (

    And I know what you mean about dragging around two boys! My oldest is 2 years old, and his little brother is about 2 months old. One is too active, and the other one has to have this huge infant carrier everywhere I go... makes it very difficult to get the grocery shopping done by myself. I can't even imagine how it is for you, with preschoolers! Oh, and happy anniversary :)

  2. Great first post, lists are fun and I like your number 8.
