Weekend Word: Impossible

Friday, July 22, 2011

{Welcome to the weekend! I've chosen a word from my Bible's concordance, and am sharing a few of the related verses. I hope you will consider theses verses over the weekend, and perhaps spend time in the Word finding others. If you don't have a Bible handy, here is a great online version. Till Monday. . .}

(I was inspired to look for this word after focusing on Matthew 17:20, last week.)

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this (salvation) is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Even Elizabeth is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God. Luke 1:36-37

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. Acts 2:24

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6
