Weekend Word: Summer

Friday, September 23, 2011

{Welcome to the weekend! I've chosen a word from my Bible's concordance, and am sharing a few of the related verses. I hope you will consider these verses over the weekend, and perhaps spend some time in the Word finding others. If you don't have a Bible handy, here is a great online version. Till Monday . . . }

As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease. Genesis 8:22

The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and the moon. It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both the summer and winter. Psalm 74:16-17

He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son. Proverbs 10:5
