Weekend Word: Child

Friday, October 7, 2011

{Welcome to the weekend! I've chosen a word from my Bible's concordance, and am sharing a few of the related verses. I hope you will consider these verses over the weekend, and perhaps spend some time in the Word finding others. If you don't have a Bible handy, here is a great online version. Till Monday . . . }

In honor of Little Guy, who turns three today.

(He's behind that tree, playing hide and seek with his brother.)

Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right. Proverbs 20:11

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. Isaiah 11:6

As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:13

(Jesus) called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:2-4

With Reap to Sow starting a Monday/Friday schedule this Monday, Weekend Word will be taking a break. I know many of you like this feature, so when it is Andrea's turn to post, I'll still put a Word up here (it will probably be related to the reading!) and then direct you over to her site. But when it is my turn to post, we'll just focus on what God wants us to reap from The Power of a Positive Mom - I know it will be a wonderful journey. See you here next week!
