New Year Devotional Guide

Monday, January 9, 2012

Hi, there! I missed you. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you are all refreshed and rejuvenated now. I am. I enjoyed my holiday and my blogging break. Unplugging for a while was a very good thing for me.

But now, I'm ready to reconnect and I'm so glad you are here. I've been thinking about fresh starts and crisp pages . . .

One nice thing about the new year is that it seems like a good time to start a new book. It is an especially good time to start a book that may actually be good for you; one that can help you accomplish some of those lofty resolutions. Might I suggest a devotional book?

  1. I just finished reading "Grace for the Good Girl" and you will love it.  It was one of the fastest books I have ever read.  I just kept reading and reading because it was like me talking!!  Great list Courtney!

  2. Oh, I'm so glad to hear that. Now I know for sure that I will like that book. Thanks for the recommendation!

  3. For a mom devo, I love Heart of My Heart by Kristin Armstrong.  God seems to speak volumes to me through it!

  4. Glad you referenced the We Are That place, and I've been wondering about her new book...

  5. Thanks for the book recommendation. I read "Grace for the Good Girl" recently, too, and it really resonated with me. Definitely a must-read!

Glad you had a good blogging break...I took one, too, over the holidays. It was great...and I came back ready to write again!

  8. Michelle, I missed you but am so glad you took a much-deserved break! I highly recommend Jesus Calling. Each day's reading is short but powerful.
