Weekend Word: Under the Sun

Is it strange that this gives me comfort?

I don't think so. Sometimes it is nice to simply rest in the One who knows,
the One who comprehends.

I hope you have a beautiful and restful weekend, Friends.

  1. I don't think so, either. I've spent a lot of stressing out, trying to "figure it out". Oh, and I must confess... in your latest poll, I voted yes! :)

  2. I, too, find comfort in knowing I can rest in the One I worship--the one who KNOWS!  Seems like God must be looking through the clouds of the picture.

  3. Well, amen to that! I'm completely clueless, but spending time clicking through Deidra's Sunday community puts me at rest.

  4. Oh, yes, we cannot comprehend. That used to frustrate me. Now it's beginning to give me comfort! (Though I still get anxious sometimes!)

  5. What a beautiful sunset! It is amazing how knowing God is in control is a comfort. It's still hard some days, but ultimately, I am thankful for God's control and wisdom! God is God and I am not!

  6. Hard to comprehend isn't it !! It is so much easier when we give God the control!! Easier said than done at times.

  9. Sometimes things are so complicated, this truth is the only thing that brings comfort. I am so grateful for it! Visiting from jumptandem. Nice to meet you and thank you for stopping by earlier.

  10. Such a beautiful photo, and I do understand what you mean! I'm learning to run to Him first when circumstances of life get complicated. So often I've tried to reason and figure things out, and end up making an even bigger mess of things, but when I run to Him I find rest, and He takes care of the stress! Visiting from Katie's site, and another great reminder today! Thanks for sharing! :)

  11. Deborah - I know just what you mean. When I try to push through life's complicated issues on my own, it just makes the situation harder. Resting in God, and working with Him is sooo much easier - in the end :)

  12. So true.  If we somehow think we know more than anyone... or know more than God through our attitude ... we're in a world of hurt.  He is "It", forever and ever, Amen!  We can do what He calls us to do and we can be wise, but we can't be Him. [and, sadly, some folks DO have that "I am God" attitude.]

You know if we would simply embrace this we'd be so much better off! :) It's funny I agree with you, it comforts me as well...HE is in control and I don't need to try so hard to figure it out...that is FREEDOM!
    LOVE this!!
