In honor of Father's Day, we are focusing on what new parenthood means for dads. Being five years into this whole parenthood gig, Hubby and I don't have a lot of perspective, but at least some of the shock has worn off. Five years is long enough to look back and think about what that early time was like, and how we have grown.
I know many marriages feel strain with the arrival of children. Ours was no different. But I'm so grateful that we worked through the sleepless nights and frustrating days together, and that we still support each other as we grow. It is interesting, and therapeutic, to pause now and look back. It has definitely made me appreciate him more as Father's Day approaches.
I suppose I'm going to have to get him a nice gift now.
