An Easy Way to Water Inside

What do you do with ice cubes that fall out of the freezer and onto the floor?
I remember that my grandmother's dog used to love to eat them. He would fly into the kitchen, slide along the linoleum, and chop them like mad. We don't have a dog, so I put stray ice cubes in my houseplants. It's a great way to keep them alive when (like me) you forget to water on a regular basis. I also take put the plants outside on occasion, for a little sunshine and liquid H2O - but it's the ice cubes, I'm convinced, that they love.
Wouldn't you love an ice cube right about now?

  1. Sometimes a cold ice cube is the best thing, depends on the day. I prefer crushed ice if I can get it.
