Football and Legos: Two Fun Events

Thursday, August 30, 2012

Is there a better combination? I think not. We will be attending two fun events in the next two days, and you can, too. Read on:

To begin, have I mentioned that we like football? I grew up in a house that loved football. Sometimes, when my dad watched "Da Bears," he cheered with such enthusiasm that our neighbors became concerned. (Sweet neighbors, it's just football.) My husband understands. He can remember almost every play from his high school and college career, and while I could not explain a play if my life depended on it, I love everything about football season. It is, as Hubby says, "The most wonderful time of the year."

To celebrate, Hubby is taking the boys to Chik-fil-a's Father-Son Football Night tonight. Click to see if there is one in your town! My boys are pumped. I will happily stay home and dance around the (empty!) house. Then, we will watch South Carolina v. Vandy tonight. Yay!!

Hold up. It gets better:

Tomorrow, I'm taking Little Guy (age 3) to the Lego Duplo Workshop at the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry. I was invited by Lego Duplo - which is thrilling! - but an invitation is not required. The event is FREE with Museum admission and no registration is required. I'll be blogging about our experience, and Lego Duplo's exciting Read! Build! Play! initiative, next week.

Football and Legos - Am I a boy mom, or what?!
