35 Years and 31 Days

Friday, September 28, 2012

Today is my 35th birthday. I will spend the morning with a Kindergarten field trip building sandcastles on the beach, lunch with my preschooler at a school picnic, and the afternoon at home. Tonight, I will go out with my dear husband. It is going to be a great day.

On Monday, I will begin an intense project here: 31 Days, hosted by The Nester. I will participate in her challenge to blog, for 31 days straight, about something worthwhile. My topic:

Photobucket
The irony isn't lost on me. Blogging for 31 days straight may not be "quality time," (like closing my computer for 31 days straight would be), but this is an experiment in cultivating focused habits. The goal is to emerge from October with a renewed sense of calm and purpose in every activity.

Please remind me of that when I am frazzled from blogging on October 31.

See you back here on Monday! Have a great weekend.

  1. Happy Birthday Courtney! Hope you had a smashing day. :)

I too appreciate the irony of my topic and this 31 day blogging bonanza as I write about loving deeply while concentrating more on this computer than on my children. Sigh. It's times like these where God's time out of time qualities could seriously benefit me (that and a working backspace-delete key!)
