Family Fun Night (and taking my own advice)

Monday, November 5, 2012

This is just one of many pictures I took this weekend.

We escaped. As a family. Just the four of us.

It was wonderful. I sat on a porch and read a book - an actual paper book - for more than five minutes! I played board games! I collected pine cones! I'm touching my computer now for the first time all weekend!

It was wonderful.

Have I mentioned, it was wonderful? It reminded me of the article I wrote for Newby Mom in October: Ideas for Family Fun Night. I never linked to it back in October because I was - wait for it - too busy writing about quality time

Check it out (click here) if you are craving some family quality time. Living it, and not just writing about it, was really nice for me. I highly recommend it.

  1. Good for you! I'm a pretty new blogger and I have discovered several times when I've written about something more than done it!!

  2. It feels so good to take a break from technology. I have to fight the urge to go off the grid permanently. Maybe one day :)
