Some Good News

Monday, January 28, 2013

for your Monday morning.

Charleston pediatrician Dr. Robert Clifford, with Coastal Pediatric Associates, has been honored with a REAL award in the Pediatric category. Dr. Clifford is committed to treating thousands of children with little to no access to healthcare. He serves on the Board of Directors for Remember, a (local!) not-for-profit ministry to the persecuted church, and has lead medical teams into Thailand, Burma, China, Jordan and Iraq.

The REAL Award is the first-of-its kind global awards’ program created by Save the Children and the Frontline Health Workers Coalition to develop greater respect and appreciation for health workers and the lifesaving care they provide globally, as well as in the United States. In the picture above, Dr. Clifford is holding an invitation to attend the official awards presentation in Washington, DC this spring.

If you know Dr. Clifford, please give him a high five. I hadn't heard about him or Remember, until this weekend. I'm impressed, and anxious to learn more.

Are you familiar with Dr. Clifford or Remember? Are you inspired?
