Some cool blogs, websites, and happenings I think you should know about:

Cooper River Bridge Run/Kids' Run - Friday, April 5, 2013. This year, Wonder Works is teaming up with them to make it a Wonderfest experience, too. Sounds like fun. Click here to learn more.

I made a new friend at my church's women's retreat a couple of weeks ago, and she is the woman behind this cool blog! Pluff Mud Kids is a virtual tour guide of our beautiful area, with a focus on activities for kids. You must check it out.

I'm including this one because I thought everyone I knew had heard about Out to Eat with Kids, but discovered the other day that a good friend had not! I happen to know the founder of this (now) national site, and think of her as a social media guru. She is, seriously, big time. If you ever want a deal when you are out with your kids, check it out - and there's an App for that, too!

One of the founders of this amazing site/blog/book/platform goes to my church, and let me tell you - she is an inspiration. Girlology is all about helping girls grow up informed and educated about their health and changing bodies. It is jam-packed with helpful and important information.

Finally, have you heard of Holy Yoga? This ministry has classes everywhere. Another mom in my son's class is an instructor with Holy Yoga Charleston, and I finally went to a class the other day. Wow. It was like any other yoga class I've taken in that, a few hours later, my muscles were talking to me. I felt sore, in a good way. But it was unlike any other yoga class I've ever taken in that it was a worship experience. It was refreshing to my soul in a way I've never experienced before. It was so cool.

Tell me, are you familiar with any of these groups? Are you going to check them out?

  1. just spent a few minutes on the girlology site. great stuff! our girls are 8 and 4 and we have already started with modesty conversations with the older one. at the hair salon the other day she was looking at the cover of a magazine with actors/actresses from a recent awards show. luckily she thought the dresses were much too short, tight and they all needed sleeves! where is the boyology site for my now ten year old son?!
