Hello, there. I'm glad you are here. I'm over at Newby Mom today, getting honest about happy thoughts. 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

That verse used to drive me crazy. I thought it meant that I was supposed to bury my head in the sand, plug my ears and say “la-la-la-la” when bad news came my way. How can one focus on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable and praiseworthy, when the world is so full of the opposite?
