Ballerinas Abroad: A Giveaway!

On display at Wonder Works in Mt. Pleasant!
It's not every day that someone in your Sunday School class asks for prayers as she begins the book writing journey, but that is exactly what happened a few months ago. Now, prayers are answered and Rachel's book is complete. I know you would love a copy!

Ballerinas Abroad! An Introduction to the History of Ballet will become an immediate favorite of your little ballerina. It is pretty and full of vibrant illustrations, but it is so much more than a cute ballet book.
Rachel's creative story about a ballet class that travels through time will actually teach your ballerina about the history and technique of dance. Ballerinas Abroad covers the three major schools of ballet (French, Italian and Russian) and even introduces important choreographers like Balanchine. The Appendix may be my favorite part, with a Glossary full of useful terms, illustrations of the five basic ballet positions and a section "All About Pointe Shoes." I seriously want to bust out my old pointe shoes and go find a class!

Rachel has given me one copy of her beautiful book to give away. This will be open all week, with a winner selected and announced on Friday. To enter to win, simply leave a comment here telling me who you think would love a copy of Ballerinas Abroad!

**Congratulations, Jessica! You are our winner!**

  3. My daughter Lauren would love the book.

  4. An old third grade student of mine who dances (also the daughter of my old TA, Robin - you remember her) would love this. I know I'm your mom, but I want one of these books! If I'm exempt from this competition, I'll buy one. :)

  5. I would love it, my ballerina daughter would love it, and all of my ballet students would love it! What a great way to teach younger ones about the history of ballet.
