A Winner and Moments

Monday, November 18, 2013

Not long after I wrote Little Bits of Time, about running with my son for 20 minutes in the mornings, he asked me to stop.

He started getting upset when it was time for me to leave. That little bit of extra time with him was just too much. If I drop him off, it's "Bye! I love you!" with a smile. If I linger, he's toast. We decided, together, that it's better for him to run alone.

I'm glad I ran with him while I could. The motivation and perspective to do it came largely from Mitten Strings for God, a book about "paying attention to the life you already have." I offered it as an early Christmas gift, and I am happy to announce Megan as the winner.

Do you ever wonder how other moms manage? To find the time or what they feel is important? Read the comments to the giveaway, and you'll get some great encouragement and ideas.

Congratulations, Megan, and thanks for being a part of this community. I know this timeless book will bless your life. Will you please email me with your contact information? I'll get it out to your right away. (If I don't hear from you in 24 hours, I'll pick another winner.)

Thanks to everyone for reading and playing along - and whew, let's get ready for the week ahead! Happy Monday, friends.
